Welcome

"Teaching reading is the responsibility of all teachers." Even if you accept the previous statement as a truism, you might feel uncomfortable in your dual role of content area teacher/reading teacher. Secondary teachers, you may have had little experience in helping your students read your text, in utilizing instructional practices to support reading, in teaching students to use reading strategies, or in building text sets. Hopefully, you will find some practical help/tools in this blog.
